OK, I’m on a Riesling kick. Clear, medium lemon appearance. Subtle pineapple, hay, and slight honey on the nose. Slightly sweet, basic Riesling on the palette with perhaps too much of a yeasty quality; did a search and found tasting notes that suggest I may have got a slightly “off” bottle; had the same bubbles forming as mentioned in that review. My father bought me this bottle to celebrate the completion of a year at Vision Critical. Clear, medium lemon-gold appearance. Very nice pronounced slightly sweet grapefruit on the nose with a hint of earth or petrol. Complex sweet apple-honey characteristics on the palette: fruity with good body and good length with wonderful evolving flavours. Excellent. About $35 at Kitsilano Wine Cellars. See Scharzhof Wine.
